My Air Mesh Journey: How It All Began

My Air Mesh story began in 2021, when I became a first-time mum—right in the middle of the Covid years—without much help here in Singapore.

My son, now 4 years old, was a sweet boy but struggled with eating, drinking, and had very sensitive skin. He would get rashes easily—especially from the heat—and sweat a lot, even in air-conditioned rooms.

Sometimes the rashes were so visible on his face, neck, and body that it broke my heart to see him in such discomfort. The redness could flare up badly after being in the stroller or during warmer afternoons, and some episodes lasted for more than a week. No matter how carefully I dressed him or tried to keep him cool indoors, the rash just kept coming back—making him restless, itchy, and cranky.

When it went on for weeks, I started feeling down and even blamed myself—wondering if it was something I’d done, like eating spicy or heaty food during pregnancy. Looking back, I wasn’t thinking rationally, but at the time I just felt helpless. (Photos from those days still bring back the memories of how much discomfort he went through.)

I even tried using many different types of regular mesh seats, hoping the breathable material would help. But in Singapore’s heat, the warmth from my son’s body ended up transferring into the seat, and before long, the mesh itself felt hot. It didn’t solve the problem — and sometimes even made him more uncomfortable.

Discovering the Cooling Seat

One day, my friends in Korea recommended a cooling seat with a built-in fan for strollers and car seats. I decided to try it—and I was amazed.

It kept my son cooler, his back stayed dry, and he was finally able to enjoy peaceful stroller and car rides, even taking long naps during outings.
From trips to parks and museums to shopping mall visits, the cooling seat quickly became our must-have essential.

Along the way, other mums would stop to ask me what it was and how it worked. I was happy to share my story—how it helped with his comfort and skin issues.

Why We Started Selling It in Singapore

Maybe the heat rash was already starting to go away on its own, or maybe we were just lucky that my son grew out of it. Thankfully, his skin is now so smooth and beautiful (Though I did bring him to different doctors). So if you’re going through this now, hang in there — there’s always hope things can improve.

I also know how hard it is to watch your little one’s skin flare up and see them feeling so uncomfortable. In those moments, it’s natural to worry about what it might mean for their skin in the long run, and that concern can feel so heavy on your heart.

That’s when I also wanted to bring the Air Mesh to support like-minded parents who might be facing the same struggles — giving them a tool that could make their child’s daily comfort just a little better.

When I tried to buy similar one for a friend, I realised it wasn’t sold here. Over time, as more mums asked me about it and I shared my experience, the idea of making it available in Singapore started to grow. Eventually, I spoke to my current team, and together we decided to bring this product in so other parents could enjoy the same comfort for their little ones.

After lots of research, discussions and testing, We customised our own based on my own experience as a mum—lightweight, breathable, and with gentle breeze circulation.

From One Mum to Another

It might be new to many parents here, but we’re enjoying the process of introducing it to the community—through online sharing, events, and word of mouth.
